If your passport has been collecting dust, American Airlines is here to help with this week’s announcement of exciting new flights to 4 sunny international destinations.

Nobody likes the headache of going through customs, but is there a better feeling than getting some fresh ink in your passport book?

Okay, I can think of a few, but we’ll keep this PG…

American is not only launching new flights internationally but also adding some notable new domestic flights and adding extra daily services to already popular routes such as Cabo, Montego Bay, and Cancun.

According to American Airlines’ latest press release, the latest 4 destinations will total 17 new escapes in 2025 for one of the U.S. travelers’ favorite airlines.

The following 4 new international routes will depart from Chicago (ORD) this winter:

Guatemala City, Guatemala

Anyone flying to Guatemala City with the idea of making a vacation out of it—good luck.

Guatemala’s capital city is best served as a gateway to neighboring Honduras’ San Pedro Sula and Belize City.

I’ve flown into Guatemala City and was supposed to stay a couple of days before venturing into the timeless town of Antigua, but my Uber driver practically begged me not to stay in the big city as he feared I’d be robbed.

His plea seemed genuine, but honestly, I have no idea if this was a ploy to switch my route to Antigua for more money or perhaps he was hoping I’d hire him to guide me around to feel more secure.

According to numerous travel forums, Guatemala does have a sketchy reputation, but the reality is there are far more safe and charming destinations in the country, such as the aforementioned Antigua (which will always hold a special place in my heart), tranquil Lake Atitlan, and the portal to the past, Tikal, an ancient Mayan city, among others.

American’s new route from ORD will launch November 6th with 3 weekly flights.

San Jose, Costa Rica

Speaking of springboard cities, Costa Rica’s capital is another, especially with a fairly recent security alert issued regarding San Jose’s airport.

For what it’s worth, American also increased routes to Costa Rica’s alternative airport in Liberia, which holds a safer reputation as the more glamorous side of the country with resort-laden beach towns.

Believe it or not, Costa Rica has actually seen a dip in tourism, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less enjoyable. In fact, one could argue it just means less crowds at the usual hotspots — not San Jose.

Whether you’re ready to hit the beach, explore the lush vegetation in hopes of wildlife sightings, or soak in a waterfall, it’s nearly impossible to have a bad time in such a diverse destination that suits all types of travelers, from solo trippers to digital nomads to romantic couples retreats.

American’s new route to SJO will launch with daily service starting November 2nd, providing easy access by car or bus to nearby destinations like Poás Volcano National Park, Zarcero, Jaco Beach, and the famous Monteverde Cloud Forest (3 hours away).

Curacao

For the Midwest, there’s no better time than winter to escape the frigid weather. While Chicago is beaming now, we all know “The Windy City” lives up to its name come winter.

What better place to escape to than a vibrant Caribbean island?

Curacao is arguably the trendiest Caribbean getaway right now with a blend of multiple cultures, Willemsted’s color-wheeled townscape perhaps brighter than their own turquoise waters, and pristine beaches that feel untouched by the masses unlike numerous fellow islands.

Rather than booking the same-o same-o in Montego Bay or Nassau, Curacao offers a more authentic experience with hidden coves, rich culture, and more sense of adventure rather than whittling away seaside with a drink in hand.

American’s new route to Curacao is set to launch December 6th with Saturday-only service.

St. Maarten

If you want to spend your spring break sunbathing on a stunning tropical beach, then Southwest has got you covered, especially if you live in or around Nashville!  

The airline has launched two brand new flights from Nashville to tropical beach destinations just in time for the start of spring. Both flights will launch on March 8 and are seasonal flights that won’t run in the winter months.  

The destinations?

You can now choose to fly from Nashville to either Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic or Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.  

Here’s everything you need to know about these new flight routes.  

Brand New Options From Nashville  

From March 8 2025 you can fly nonstop between Nashville and Punta Cana as well as Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos.

Initially, these nonstop flights will only operate on Saturdays, meaning that you will be able to take week-long vacations in the sun, but you can’t use these flights to plan shorter getaways.  

Southwest already offers a nonstop route from Nashville to Cancun, but these two new routes will give people in the area even more convenient options for their next international vacation.  

The all-important question when any new international service is launched is how much will it cost! Both of these flight routes are already available to book on the Southwest Airlines website.  

Firs,t I looked at the prices for a nonstop return flight from Nashville to Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos. These flights are from Saturday, March 22 – Saturday, March 29, shortly after this new route launches.  

The outbound flight currently costs $582, and the inbound flight currently costs $543. Meaning the total round-trip flight cost would be $1,124, including taxes and fees.  

If you’d rather enjoy the complete relaxation offered by island life then I also looked at the price for tickets between Nashville and Punta Cana. This must be the more popular route because economy tickets were sold out for the March dates I looked at above.  

These prices are based on flights from Saturday, April 5 – Saturday, April 12. The outbound flight currently costs $454 and the inbound flight currently costs $632.

This means the total round-trip flight cost would be $1,086, including taxes and fees.  

The ticket prices for these two new flight routes are very similar, so ticket price needn’t be a factor in which destination you choose.  

It’s worth noting that these prices are based on a ‘Wanna Get Away’ ticket, which is the cheapest economy flight ticket offered by Southwest Airlines.

This ticket is non-refundable, and you will also have to pay extra to select your seats. But two bags are included for free with all Southwest tickets.   

Punta Cana or Los Cabos?  

If you’re an international globe trotter, then you might be able to visit Los Cabos and Punta Cana this year. But if you only have the time (and the cash!) to visit one of these destinations, which one is best for you?

Both destinations are tropical paradises with spectacular white sand beaches.  

But while the landscapes in Punta Cana are fringed with palm trees and tropical jungle, you’ll find desert views (and the dry desert climate to go with it) in Los Cabos.  

Both destinations are blessed with excellent all-inclusive resorts, but if you’re on a tight budget, you’re likely to find a wider range of budget accommodations and restaurants in Punta Cana than you will in Los Cabos.

Los Cabos is a famously luxurious and high-end destination, so this is a better option if you’re looking for opulence at any price.  

Looking to party the night away? Punta Cana should be your first choice. The nightlife here is incredibly vibrant. There are plenty of nightlife options and a lively party atmosphere in the town.  

By contrast, the nightlife in Los Cabos focuses on chic rooftop lounges and high-end restaurants. Both options are a lot of fun, but Punta Cana is better suited to a younger party-ready crowd.

Year after year, airlineratings.com has released their annual list of the world’s safest airlines in some form or another.

For 2025, these travel experts unveiled some big surprises both globally and domestically – many of which fly through U.S. skies.

You might be wondering how such a list is compiled. No worries; it’s not some basement-dwelling dimwit using AI based on a bunch of gobbledygook.

AirlineRatings gathers its data from pilots and various aviation experts as well as uses the following information to put together an insightful list for travelers like you and me.

• Noteworthy incidents over a two-year span
• Age of fleet
• Size of fleet
• Rate of incidents
• Fatalities
• Profitability
• IOSA certification
• ICAO country audit pass
• Pilot training and skill level

There you have it. Now let’s dig in!

These are the 3 safest U.S. airlines for 2025:

3) American Airlines

Some airlines on the list you’ll likely never board, but American Airlines is truly an American staple.

Headquartered in the Dallas region, even providing employees with their own hotel, travelers may love flying American just as much as flight attendants enjoy their cool perks.

Out of all U.S. airlines ranking in the top 23 global airlines for safety, America comes in 3rd in the nation and 13th in the world, which is great to know since the latest data shows the mega-popular airline served over 2 million passengers in 2023.

American flies to some really awesome places all over the world, including 2 exciting new routes to Italy this year, and obviously connects much of the U.S., given its name.

In terms of safety, AA scores a perfect 7/7, while the product is just a 5.5/7. And ohhh boy, don’t get travelers started on the passenger experience, scoring a lowly 4.4.

As the kids would say, “that’s mid, bruh”. But anything beats Spirit, right?

2) Hawaiian Airlines

Ever flown across the ocean?

The views can be stunningly beautiful or absolutely terrifying. You may not want a window seat if you’re the type that looks down when someone says, “Don’t look down!”.

Hawaiian Airlines obviously connects Hawaii to the mainland, among numerous international destinations as well.

In other words, all flights soar over the ocean, so there may be no other airline you’ll want to feel safer since Captain Sully retired.

Hawaiian barely eked out Americans for the 12th spot globally and also holds bragging rights for better service and products, with a 5.4 passenger experience score and perfect 7/7 ratings for product and safety.

1) Alaska Airlines

Let’s get right to it. Airline Ratings has got some ‘splainin’ to do.

Remember when Alaska Airlines’ door plug blew off in 2024? It had nothing to do with those wild stories of passengers attempting to open emergency doors mid-flight and everything to do with maintenance shortcuts.

That doesn’t exactly paint a picture of safety. Perhaps this is where Airline Ratings’ “fatalities” bullet point comes into play since there were fortunately no lives lost during one of the scariest flight situations imaginable.

Despite this mishap just a year ago, Alaska Airlines remains a very popular airline, especially for short getaways. Not only does Alaska fly to, well, Alaska, they fly to many awesome cities and hidden gems, many of which are along the West Coast.

In addition to having the most reliable wi-fi, Alaska notched perfect ratings for product and safety (somehow) and matches Hawaiian with a 5.4 passenger experience score.

Airline Ratings’ Take On Air Safety In 2025

In a day and age of instant information, flight accidents may seem like they occur more often, but they may just be reaching our screens quicker.

It might be tempting to jump to conclusions when you see (very few) planes fall from the sky, but Airline Ratings cites a recent airline study claiming ‘global death risk per flight boarding was approximately one in 13.7 million’.

Pretty solid odds, right?

However, those concerned might appreciate Skyscanner’s new tool, a first-of-its-kind flight booking platform allowing users to search for flights based on safety.

‘Leaf peepers’ may be in full force scoping out vibrant foliage across the continent, but before you know it, snow will soon transform those very same tree lines into vast winter wonderlands.

Colorado is one of the top places for such an excursion where the gorgeous Rockies are dotted with delightful towns perfect for a winter escape.

Airlines have surely taken notice, adding a handful of new flights to one underrated Colorado town with village-like streets and wondrous mountains as a picture-perfect backdrop.

While Aspen may be the household name of Colorado’s numerous small-town mountainous getaways, it’s time to set your sights on Vail this winter, as it’s easier to reach than ever before.

Alaska’s New Flight To Vail

Typically popular along the West Coast and Mexico, Alaska couldn’t help but dip their toes in Colorado’s frigid winter waters by adding Vail as one of their newest destinations.

However, the airline is no stranger to Colorado’s beauty, as it also flies to Denver, Aspen, and a boatload of hidden gems, such as Steamboat Springs.

In other words, adding Vail to the list is long overdue. So who are the lucky 2 cities that get to fly nonstop come December?

Well, in typical Alaska fashion, 2 of the West Coast’s best cities are the big winners. Those would be Seattle and San Diego.

Beginning December 20th, both Washingtonians and Southern Californians can get their winter splendor fix with direct flights to Vail.

Frontier’s New Flight To Vail

Say what you want about Frontier, but they have stood the test of time in the rapidly changing budget airline industry, and kudos to them.

Despite many of us feeling sorry for their PR team with bad press issued left and right in recent years, the proud low-cost carrier recently announced in tandem with fellow cheapo Spirit they are dropping cancelations and change fees on all flights to become more flyer-friendly.

The airline has announced multiple new flights in recent months, but Vail may stand out the most in their surprisingly impressive network for winter escapes.

Obviously, Frontier knows Colorado like the back of its headrests, which is based in Denver. But truth be told, it’s a good thing they’re adding Vail because a winter drive through the backroads from Denver is a tough trek!

The 2 lucky cities with direct routes to Eagle County Airport (EGE) are Dallas/Fort Worth and San Francisco.

Initial flights out of DFW will begin December 16th and a few days later out of SFO on December 19th. Both cities will operate flights twice per week for Frontier’s first-ever routes to Vail.

No Better Place To Hit The Slopes!

Since all new flights are slated for the week before Christmas, are you thinking what I’m thinking?

December is when Vail truly becomes a quintessential “winter wonderland”, almost is if you’re stuck inside a snowglobe you don’t want to escape.

The mountains gleam with fresh powdery snow, providing ideal conditions for skiers and snowboarders throughout the month and into the new year.

Better yet, unlike the movie that put Aspen on the map, you won’t be saying to yourself, ‘I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this’, with over 5,000 acres of skiable terrain to shred, bruh. 🤙

Forget the household names! Fall is the season where hidden gems shine brightest, at least according to Alaska Airlines.

The popular carrier has blown the doors off with their latest report, revealing the top 3. U.S. small towns to explore this fall.

Many of us seek out iconic city adventures in such places as Chicago, New York, or San Francisco, but scattered around the country are delightful towns often overshadowed by the grandeur of America’s finest metropolises.

But in the wise words of Michael Scott, “Well, well, well, how the turntables”…

Alaska has seen a strong spike in bookings for places without the crowds and towering skyscrapers in favor of simple down-home fall splendor.

These are the top 3 U.S. hidden gems surging in popularity this fall:

Santa Rosa: Gateway To Wine Country & So Much More

Despite popular belief, Napa is not the only major wine town in California. In fact, it’s not even the biggest in the state.

Lodi may take the cake on that one, but it’s Santa Rosa that has made a name for itself in the wine world and also serves as a gateway into Napa, among other delightful towns nearby.

But let’s stick with Santa Rosa proper, an often overlooked city that’s suddenly been thrown into the spotlight this fall, especially with Alaska’s new flights from Vegas.

So, why visit Santa Rosa other than to go winery-hopping?

The city of 177,000 people is surrounded by beautiful landscapes you can’t help but want to explore.

Take Sonoma Coast State Park ($8 admission) for sample size, where epic coastal views reign supreme over all the ‘leaf peepers’ snapping photos like they’ve never seen a tree before.

Kidding, of course. But, truth be told, this is one of few State Parks this time of year where you’ll forget all about the colors of leaves in place of colors of wines and stunning aqua-blue views.

Bellingham: Springboard To Vancouver Or Relaxing Hideaway?

Which do you prefer: Picturesque lakes, numerous islands, and tranquil waterfalls or a buzzing cultural city, majestic mountains, and world-class cuisine?

Well, good news is you’re in the right place for both…sorta.

Just as Alaska Airlines described, Bellingham is a “hidden gem” nestled on the coast between Seattle and Vancouver, Canada.

Since Bellingham has its own airport, it makes for a relaxing fall escape on its own with astounding nature at your fingertips… or you can scooch across the border for a taste of the city life.

Any way you slice it, you’re in a great spot. You’ll find gorgeous coastal and inland views at such places like San Juan Island and Lake Padden, whichever suits your vibe, and ample ferry rides are provided to reach the various islands off Bellingham’s shores.

Not to mention a charming downtown filled with cozy cafes, scenic parks, and a booming arts scene.

Travel tip: Vancouver is roughly an hour’s drive by car or bus from Bellingham. Make sure to bring your passport and note that Global Entry is not accepted in Canada’s Nexus lanes.

Missoula: This Ain’t Yellowstone

Montana has been hyped up ever since the mega-hit TV show Yellowstone was released. But Missoula doesn’t convey the rootin’ tootin’ cowboy shootin’ image you may have emblazoned in your mind.

Missoula is where college town meets mountainous paradise – a place to bar-hop in the lively University District or relax along the Clark Fork River and dozens of scenic hiking trails.

For the more adventurous, there’s whitewater rafting to tap into your adrenaline rush or come late November, you can hit the slopes just 20 minutes from downtown.

Calling to all Americans looking for excellent deals: Southwest Airlines have announced a 40% off qualifying base fares for all late-summer and fall travel.

However, customers must take advantage of this deal by June 9, 2022, at 11.59 p.m Central Daylight Time.

The deal started on June 7, 2022; therefore, Americans only have today and tomorrow to take advantage of the promotion. 

The Full Details On The Offer

All customers can save 40% on qualifying base fares if they use the promotion FALL40 when purchasing via Southwest.com. The deal is valid on all flights running from August 16, to November 5, 2022. All discounts are applied before government taxes and fees.

Bill Tierney, Southwest Airlines Vice President of Marketing & Digital Experience, said: “We’re thrilled to offer our customers a substantial discount on our low fares for flights as soon as late summer and into the fall,”

He added: “This discount on Southwest flights will help make travel more affordable and easier for Customers—giving them a great low fare along with two free checked bags, and no change or cancellation fees2. All of that coupled with our legendary Hospitality adds up to a great deal.”

The Promotion Rules

Of course, as with all promotions, there are some rules to consider.

The 40% promotion code savings is valid for one-way or round trip Wanna Get Away®, Wanna Get Away Plus, Anytime, and Business Select® fares booked on Southwest.com. 

• You must book the flights between June 7, through June 9, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time.
• You must fly between Aug. 16, through Nov. 5, 2022.
• You’ll have to enter the promotion code FALL40 in the Promo Code box when booking your flight.
• The discount may vary depending on the flight, the day of the week, and the destination 
• On busy flights during holiday periods, the discount won’t be available
• If you change your itinerary after you purchase your tickets, it will eliminate the promotion.
• You can’t use the offer in conjunction with offer offers or towards the purchase of a gift card 
• The discount is only valid on Southwest.com, swabiz.com, Southwest Partner Services API, or through Global Distribution Systems. 

What About Flexibility Terms? 

At Southwest Airlines, there are no change fees, but fare differences may apply. There are no cancellation fees, but failure to cancel a reservation at least 10 minutes before departure could cause forfeited travel funds. 

What About WiFi Terms?

WiFi may be available for passengers, but only on WiFi-enabled aircraft. Although Southwest Airlines offers an inflight entertainment portal, they only allow access to iMessage and WhatsApp, and travelers must download this before the flight.

In addition, free live TV and iHeartRadio may not be available for the entire flight duration due to licensing laws. 

How Significant Is This Offer For Travelers?

Due to the rising demand for flights and the fuel crisis, flight prices are skyrocketing in the United States. 

Delta CEO, Ed Bastian, recently said: “We expect pricing this summer to be up probably somewhere between 25% and 30% on average,”

He added: “We’ve never seen anything of that scale.”

This offer shows excellent deals are still possible for U.S. travelers this year; you just have to take advantage of the offers when they become available. 

However, Helane Becker, Senior Research Analyst at Cowen, told Bloomberg TV: “They (airlines) are facing huge inflationary pressures and need to raise ticket prices and at some point, the consumer is going to say ‘okay, we’ve done our travel, and we’re done, we cannot (afford) to fly again,”

Nothing makes the world feel smaller than an airplane.  

And every time a new nonstop international flight route is announced, exploring the world becomes a little bit easier.  

This is why it’s so exciting that United Airlines has announced the largest international expansion in its history.  

Next summer, United Airlines will fly to more destinations across the Atlantic than any other U.S. airline.

That means more than 760 flights a week to over 40 different destinations.  

And 5 of these flights will be brand new nonstop international routes that no other U.S. airline currently flies to.  

5 New International Routes From United Airlines  

The 5 new international routes from United Airlines will launch in May 2025.  

They will all depart from the United Airlines hub in Newark/New York (so this is particularly interesting news for New Yorkers).  

Those new routes will be to: Nuuk in Greenland, Palermo in Italy, Bilbao in Spain, Madeira Island in Portugal and Faro in Portugal.  

By their own metrics, these new flights will make United Airlines the largest airline in the world.  

Nuuk, Greenland 

Nuuk is the capital city of Greenland and United Airlines will fly to the city twice weekly from June 14 next year. 

Nuuk is the northernmost capital city in the world and is home to the midnight sun in the summertime.

This makes it a wonderfully unique place to visit in Europe in the summer and a contrast to the crowds and beaches of other European hot spots.  

The nonstop flight from Newark to Nuuk will be just over 4 hours long, making it a convenient and incredibly accessible journey.  

Price information for this flight route isn’t currently available.  

Palermo, Italy 

Palermo will be one of 5 destinations in Italy that United Airlines will fly to nonstop next summer.

But Palermo is the only one of these that is a United exclusive route at this point.  

This route will launch on May 21 and will be a 3 times weekly seasonal nonstop service.  

Palermo is the most popular destination in Sicily and will open up this iconic island to a whole new American audience. This new route will put Sicily’s rich history, luxurious beaches and stunning architecture at your fingertips.  

Return flights from June 20 to June 26 on this route are currently priced at $1,889 for the most restrictive, basic economy ticket.  

Bilbao, Spain 

Nonstop flights from Newark to Bilbao in Spain will launch on May 31 2024.  

A nonstop round trip flight from June 12 to June 18 on this route is currently priced at $1,027 for the most restrictive basis economy ticket.

The outbound flight has a flight time of 7 hours 30 minutes.  

Bilbao is the heart of Spain’s Basque country and an important cultural hub. One of my favorite attractions is the iconic Guggenheim Museum, and for watersports enthusiasts, the surf is epic here, too.

This isn’t the only exclusive United flight to Spain. United is also the only U.S. carrier to fly direct to Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife, and Malaga.  

Madeira Island, Portugal 

United will launch the only nonstop service from the U.S. to Madeira. This flight will start on June 7 and will operate 3 times a week.  

Madeira is a stunningly beautiful island. It boasts everything a nature lover could dream of: natural pools and waterfalls, incredible beaches, and lush verdant mountains.  

Price information for this route hasn’t been released yet.  

Faro, Portugal  

United will also be the only U.S. airline serving Faro in Portugal. This flight route will start on May 16 and will fly 4 times each week.  

This means that United will have the only nonstop routes to Faro, Madeira, Porto, and Ponta Delgada, making it the most wide-reaching U.S. airline for Portuguese flights.  

Flying from June 11 to June 17 on this route will cost $1,578 if you choose the cheapest and most restrictive fare.  

Faro is a beautiful city with a charming old town and easy access to pretty beaches, giving travelers the best of both worlds in one easily accessible package.

Delicious food, rich culture, and iconic landmarks. It’s no wonder so many American travelers dream of visiting Italy.  

Whether you dream of sailing in a Venetian gondola, marveling at the Colosseum in Rome, or sipping cocktails on the Italian Riveria, there’s an Italian escape for everyone. And next summer, Italy will be easier to get to than ever.  

American Airlines has announced an Italian summer and revealed details of 2 new nonstop flight routes.

Nonstop From Chicago To Naples  

American Airlines will launch a new nonstop route from Chicago to Naples. This service will begin on May 6 of next year.  

This isn’t the first American Airlines route to Naples, but it will be the only route from any airline between Chicago and Naples for the summer of 2025.  

Tickets for this route went on sale on November 4, so I checked to see how much you’ll have to spend if you’re planning a Napoli summer!  

On this route, you can expect to pay $1,334 for an economy class roundtrip flight departing on May 12 and returning on May 19.  

If you’d prefer to travel during the high summer season of August then a flight from August 11 returning August 18 would cost $1,375.  

This is also for an economy-class roundtrip flight, meaning the difference in flight prices between the high season and the shoulder season is negligible.  

Nonstop From Dallas-Fort Worth To Venice  

Good news for Dallas residents: American Airlines will also offer its first nonstop flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Venice next summer.  

American already offers nonstop flights to Venice from Philadelphia, but this will be the first time they’ve connected Dallas to the floating city. This new daily service will begin on June 5.  

Tickets for this route are already on sale, so I got an example price for departure shortly after the flight launch date.

Departing on June 16 and returning on June 23 would cost $1,408. This is based on a nonstop return economy class flight.  

During the August high season, the same flight would cost $1,061.

This is based on a nonstop economy class flight departing on August 16 and returning on August 23.  

Showing that sometimes the best way to save on flights, especially during the high season, is to book well in advance!  

An Italian Summer  

When it comes to embracing the Dolce Vita and enjoying an Italian summer, you’ll be spoiled for choice.  

American Airlines have also announced that their new seasonal flights from Miami and Philadelphia to Rome will now depart on June 5 instead of July as first announced.  

Giving options to explore Venice, Naples, and Rome.  

As well as being a tourist attraction in its own right, Naples is also the gateway to the Amalfi coast. This coastline offers some of the most stunning scenery in Italy and is home to picturesque villages and high-end beach resorts.  

But don’t miss Naples completely. The Archaeological Museum here houses one of the world’s largest Egyptian collections (outside of Egypt, of course). It’s the birthplace of pizza. And its close to Naples and the famous preserved city of Pompeii.  

Venice needs no real explanation, but it’s a city everyone should experience at least once! The floating city famed for its canals and gondolas, you can wander over endless ornate bridges and explore the incredible architecture here.  

Venice has its own unique kind of magic. It’s like a romantic and fascinating living museum.  

Don’t miss the iconic cathedral Saint Mark’s Basilica, and take a batobus or a water taxi to the nearby islands of Murano and Burano, each of which has its own personality and is just as charming and fascinating as Venice itself.
